A few centuries ago, Lucifer was born to Celestia. It was a new experience for her as a single mother, doing her best to raise him and had sheltered him through his youth. It was at this time that she was handling her sisters and her own duties as Luna was still on the moon.Lucifer was to conceal his wings and act as a unicorn, engaging studies to improve his magic and find his purpose. The young prince found his calling with astral magic when he helped his mother one night and he focused more on his newfound magic and talent.It was during his growth that his mother felt more comfortable in letting him be himself, trying to encourage him to reveal his alicorn status. Unfortunately, he was too used to hiding the wings and been very reluctant to be open about it. He became more reclusive and rarely ever engaged a social life with other ponies even during his studies.In Celestia's many attempts to fix her mistake of sheltering him, she managed to damage her relationship with her son and caused him to become estranged from her. Lucifer had left home and vanished away into the wilderness where she never heard from him again.Lucifer spent a while living near the dragon nests, nurturing an orphaned dragon of his own as he found Tartarus and focused on tending to the underworld. In his efforts of care into the realm, he was crowned as it's new king and he goes by the name of "Astrum" . He continues to pose as a Unicorn, but is not as adamant of hiding his appearance from others as he used to be.

Astrum is a bookworm and collects any piece of literature he comes across during his ventures, adding to the Underworlds already vast library. Likely that he has some rare articles that had been long lost in the world.He does have trouble sleeping, often stays awake for long periods of time either due to losing track of time or being unable to fall asleep.Doesn’t remember much or know much about his father, just a fuzziness if he tries to think about it. Definitely bares a strong resemblance with some of his mother sprinkled in.Favorite things:

TARTARUS / UNDERWORLD. Given not much is explained about this place , my interpretation will be based on a mixture of some mythologies including Greek. I believe Grogar ( or maybe Discord? ) may have once been managing it for a while before he vanished.Maybe before Grogar an alicorn king/queen ( back when maybe there used to be more alicorns ) originally ruled Tartarus . So for a long time after Grogar, the underworld was left unattended until Lucifer showed up a few centuries ago. The underworld itself is —a step in the afterlife where all souls go to rest or atone for their guilt until they are ready to move on to another life. It’s how it was built to be, but it has now also become a jail for creatures that were created by Grogar or otherwise not redeemable.It has endless caverns, resembling different levels. From fertile under earth to the boiling lava pits of Tartarus.Some inspiration can be taken from HADES ( 2018 )RELICS / ARTIFACTS . There are some old relics that belonged in the underworld according to Lucifer’s findings in the old library within the realm. Some are still misplaced.

AU where Astrum didn't become estranged because he had Luna in his life while growing up. Luna nor Celestia ever faced banishment, but the threat of Nightmare Moon still loomed over. Answering to the name "Lucifer", but found himself comfortable with "Astrum".He still found his calling as the caretaker of Tartarus when trouble arose with the realm of the dead. Contact is maintained with Celestia and Luna.Astrum took time to study the dragons, adopting Tiamat in the process.
